Life Verse

"If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do." James 1:5-8

The Lord is my Rock

This last friday night/saturday morning was Women's All Night of Prayer...at first I was hesitant to go, although God wanted to there, and when I prayed towards that I was filled with joy and excitement about the night gathered with 600+ women coming together to seek the face of God.

During the night every woman receive a name of God. Here is the list:

  • Lord- John 9v38
  • The Word- John 1v14
  • Light of the World- John 8v12
  • Husband- Hosea 2v16
  • Immanuel- Matthew 1v23
  • Physician- Luke 8v45
  • Daddy, Father- Mark 14v36
  • Almighty- Isaiah 51v15, 16
  • Mighty Creator God- Genesis 1v1
  • The God who sees Me- Genesis 16v13
  • Jealous God- Exodus 34v14
  • Child- Isaiah 9v6
  • Master- Psalms 22vs 30, 31
Before handing out the cards to the ladies in my group I shuffled them praying the Lord would choose which card each women was suppose to receive that night. After they got their card they looked it over and read the verses attached to each one, and then shared why they thought or knew why the Lord had chosen this card for them. This would be their card for the next year, and it is amazing to see God come alive to each one of us through that card.

The card that I received is The Lord is my Rock. One of the women in my group had a word for me from the Lord. She had a vision, as I shared little pieces about me through the night she heard what the Lord was doing in and through me. She said that she saw me climbing the rock, trying to find the route and where my next move would be...she said the Lord showed her a vision of me just sitting on the rock, resting in His plan, His goodness. The view from on top is different than on the face of the rock with only the next crevice to stick my fingers into in view.

This week I have been resting on THE ROCK, spending quite time seeking His face, journaling, and just resting.

The Lord is my Rock: "Trust in the LORD forever,
for the LORD, the LORD himself, is the Rock eternal" Isaiah 26:4
